Eligibility
Age – Between 18 to 23 years as on 1st Jan’ 2013. Upper age limit is relaxable by 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST candidates. Five years of age relaxation may granted to the children and dependent family members of those who killed in the communal riots of 1984 and in the year 2002 in Gujarat. The children and dependent family members of those who killed in these riots should produce a certificate to that effect from the concerned District Collectors. SC/ST/OBC relaxation as per Government instructions will be in addition.
Education - Minimum Matric or equivalent from a recognized State/Central Education Board.
Medical Standards
(i) Eye Sight The minimum distance vision should be 6/6 and 6/9 both eyes without glasses and they should possess high colour vision.
(ii) The Candidates must not have knock-knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes and they should possess high color vision.
(iii) They must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.
Test
(a) Physical efficiency Test : There will be 05 Kilometers race to be completed within 24 minutes.
(b) Written Test : The written test will consist of objective type multiple choice question. The question paper will consist of 100 marks to be attempted in 2 hours.
(c) Medical examination will be conducted as per BSF Medical Manual.
The eligible/willing male candidates can participate to
Physical/Education Training (pre-recruiting training) for
guidance-cumtraining for appearing in Special Recruitment Rallies to be
conducted w.e.f.22nd April’ 2013 to 21st May’ 2013 at their nearest BSF
HQ at free of cost. During the elementary training following points will
be covered:-
i) Physical Training (01 hour):- Warm up and strengthening for stamina 5 Kms Run practice
ii) Refreshment break (01 hour)
iii) Educational training (02 hours) General awareness General Knowledge Knowledge of elementary mathematics Analytical aptitude and ability to observe and distinguish
patterns Basic knowledge of the candidates in Hindi/English.
HOW TO APPLY AND BY WHICH DATE
Further, it is mentioned here that candidates are not required to any panic, in case they could not made their registration within the specified date, they can report at the following Recruiting Centers on 27th May’ 2013 at 0800hrs along with the filled in application form & admit card down load the same from BSF web site WWW.BSF@NIC.IN as per Annexure-I & II and original & Certified copy of education certificate/appropriate identification like domicile certificate/Adhar Number/Voter ID Card and Ration Card etc could be accepted for Physical Standard Test(PST)/Physical Efficiency Test(PET). The candidates will be entertained by the PST & PET board for appearing in the recruitment process. Being a rally recruitment, no examination fees will be charged from the candidates for appearing in the recruitment process.
