Special Recruitment rally  will be held at border districts of  Manipur, NRS-Dimapur and Nagaland, {NRS-Dimapur} from 03 Jun 2013  onwards for enrolment to  544 vacancies (male candidates) of GD category from following border districts:-

Recruitment Rally
RECRUITMENT RALLY AT  MANIPUR AND NAGALAND.  The rally will be conducted for enrolment of candidates belonging to the districts of Ukhrul, Chandel and Churachandpur of Manipur state and Tuensang, Kiphire, Mon and Phek of Nagaland state for the posts  GD category specified against each :-

Note : -

• Youth from only the concerned districts will participate in the rallies. Appropriate identifications like domicile certificate,  ADHAR number, Voter ID Card and Ration card etc. will be accepted.
• Willing candidates will report to the nearest Assam Rifles Unit/Formation HQ for Guidance-cum-training wef  22 Apr 2013 to 21 May 2013.
• Date of reporting of candidates at nearest Assam Rifles Unit/Formation HQ to deposit of filled up application forms/Admit Cards by the candidates  and receipt of the signed Admit Card at the PST& PET centres wef  27 May 2013 to 31 May 2013.
• Conduct of documentation and PST/PET wef 03 Jun 2013 to 08 Jun 2013.

2.         This notice is also available on the official website of the Assam Rifles                         www.assamrifles.gov.in.                         
3.         Candidate seeking reservation benefits as SC/ST/OBC must ensure that they are entitled to such reservation as per eligibility prescribed in the Notice.  They should be in possession of the certificates in the format prescribed by Government of India in support of their claim at the time of reporting for PST/PET.
4.         CANDIDATE BELONGING TO THE  PHYSICALLY HANDICAPPED CATEGORY ARE NOT ELIGIBLE TO APPLY FOR THIS EXAMINATION.
5.         Only a single application will be entertained.  Candidature in respect of multiple applications will be rejected outright without any notice to such candidates.
6.        “APPLICATION FOR GD CATEGORY  RALLY  AT  MANIPUR ( BORDER DISTRICTS UKHRUL, CHANDEL AND CHURACHANDPUR) or “APPLICATION FOR GD CATEGORY  RALLY AT NAGALAND (BORDER DISTRICTS TUENSANG, KIPHIRE, MON AND PHEK)  be endorsed on top of the cover under which the application is being submitted.
7.         Applications will be accepted  by hand.
8.         MOBILES AND OTHER ELECTRONIC GADGETS ARE BANNED WITHIN THE PREMISES OF RALLY SITES/TEST CENTRE.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Education . Matriculation or Xth  class pass from a recognized board/university. 
• Age .  Between 18 to 23 years as on 1^st Aug 2012.  Upper age limit is relaxable  by 3 years to OBC and 5 years to SC/ST Candidates.
• Calculation of Upper Age Limit for Ex-servicemen.  Actual age minus service plus 3 years should be within the upper age limit of 23/26 and 28 years.

PHYSICAL STANDARD

(a)       Height

• General Category                            -           162.5 cms
• OBC (Other Backward Class)        -           162.5 cms
• SC (Schedule Cast)                        -           162.5 cms
• ST (Schedule Tribe)                        -           160 cms (only Schedule Tribe candidates hailing from NE States except Assam)

(b)       Chest

• General Category                            -           77 cms (minimum 5 cms expansion). Only candidates hailing from NE States except Assam.
• OBC (Other Backward Class)        -           77 cms (minimum 5 cms expansion). Only candidates hailing from NE States except Assam.
•  SC (Schedule Cast)                       -           77 cms(minimum 5 cms expansion). Only candidates hailing from NE States except Assam.
• ST (Schedule Tribe)                        -           76 cms (minimum 5 cms expansion). Only Schedule Tribe candidates hailing from NE States except  Assam.

PHYSICAL EFFICIENCY TEST

• 5 Km run – Candidates to qualify within 24 Minutes.
• Only those candidates who qualify the Height Bar will be subjected to 5 Kms run to be completed within 24 minutes.
• NO PHYSICAL EFFICIENCY TEST WILL BE HELD FOR EX-SERVICEMEN.  HOWEVER, EX-SERVICEMEN WILL BE REQUIRED TO PASS THE REQUISITE MED EXAMINATION.

WRITTEN TEST

1. The written test will consist of objective type multiple choice questions.  The         question paper will consist of 100 questions of 100 marks to be attempted in 2 hours.
2. The question paper will be set to assess the general awareness/general             knowledge of elementary mathematics, analytical aptitude and ability of observe and distinguish patterns and to test the basic knowledge of the candidates in English/Hindi.

Pay Scale  Pay scale and other allowance will be as admissible to Constable (GD) in CAPFs and Assam Rifles Personnel.
Merit List and Call  for Training  The candidates who qualify in all respects will be placed in merit list depending upon the category wise vacancies allocated to states.   Instruction to join the Training Centre for enrolment will be issued on the basis of Merit List.
How to Apply  Candidates, who appear before the recruitment board of officers as per time line at respective centres will submit application and admit card as per format given in the advertisement along with required documents duly completed in all respect for registration of applications.
